Leased!

I got approved for an apartment! I will be living just a half mile from Prairie, so I can easily walk or ride my bike every day. The unit is in a complex called Concord apartments, recommended to me by my new friend Sarah, an ESL teacher who just finished her first year at Prairie. It is a one-bedroom unit in what seems like a great little apartment community. So, as of August 15 I will officially be moving out of Libertyville to live on my own in a brand new town--almost both as thrilling and terrifying as was graduating three weeks ago!

Hired!

So, good news everyone, I got a job! Much more to come on said job in the future, but just to give a taste of what the next school year will be like, this image is an aerial shot of the facilities I'll be working in. The building is breathtaking, but if you get a chance to come visit you will find the students and faculty are even more remarkable. I am definitely glad the stress of the job search is over, but I am also completely thrilled to begin this adventure that lies ahead!
